June 20, 2005 :: Girl's Camp - Dome Rock
This year our church is having girl's camp in three sections. For part one, we went up into the mountains to Dome Rock.
First off, all of the people going met at the church building, loaded up the cars, and figured out who was riding up with who. It ended up that Marydawn, Leslie, and myself would be going up with Sister Durante. We figured out our seating in the car and left.
Although, we didn't get to far when we came to a road block due to the fact there was a small fire not to far up the road. So, we get out and waited for a while. Then the road was cleared. So, we continue our trip up there.
After we arrived up at Dome Rock, since our car was the first up there, we got to pick the camp site. MaryDawn, Leslie, and I picked out where we wanted our tent. When the others showed up, we got our tent. It didn't take very long to set it up, put our stuff inside, and figured out where each of us would be sleeping.
We go to gather firewood not to much after that while some other people start to cook dinner.
--- Add more later.

June 15, 2005 :: My Summer Plans
Today I sat down and planned out the rest of my summer. After a long time I figured out that I have exactly 30 days that I'm not doing anything (planned so far). Of course... these days are all off and on, not in a row. I have a day or two here and a day there. You get it, right? Well, that's all I wanted to post for now. So, until next time. See ya.

June 12, 2005 :: Youth Conference Drama
I got to hang out with an awesome person on Saturday. His name is Brad. Well, really it's Brandon, but most people call him Brad.
He's really nice and we seem to have quite a few things in common, so it's cool. We have each others nicknames. He's Geeky Loser and I'm Nerdy Freak, but that's an inside joke that you wouldn't understand if I told you, so I wont. We don't ACTUALLY call each other those names, he just calls me Kym and I call him Brad, but I do have permission to call him Rando. (<-- Best friend's nickname for him *Feels Special*) OK! Anyway!...
For the conference we had to walk from the stake center to Granite Hills High School. So, I headed outside and was walking by myself until I looked over to my right and saw Brad. It kinda surprised me that he was walking with me and not with his best friends, Justin and Chris. We got to talking about our interests and I found out that he knew a lot about computers. He even builds them. I thought that was really cool. This is when we gave each other our nicknames.
We finally got to the highschool and I asked if he was sure he wanted to eat lunch with me and not his friends. I don't exactly remember what he said, but he sat by me and two of my other friends (MaryDawn and Todd). Me and him talked some more about the things that annoyed us, computers, and other random things.
After lunch, Brad went to talk to someone and my friend came up to me and was like... "Hey, you know he has a girl friend, right?" I was like... "Dang, figured." So yeah, whatever. I'm still going to talk to him, and so we hang out some more, get to know more info about each other, and then we have to go home and get ready for the last dance of the conference.
Now, up to this point we were just friends, I didn't like him at all other then the fact that he is HOT, but anyways!!... At home I sat thinking about it... and I knew he had a girl friend according to my friend, but I still wondered why he didn't tell me and why he flirted so much. Then I realized how much I liked him, but now it's time to go to dinner and the dance. So, great now I'm all *OMG I get to dance with him!!* Ya know? So I finished getting ready.
So, at the dance we dance for the first slow song, which was a stupid song, so we both agreed to dance on the next one. Well, right after the second slow song, I get his MSN and AIM s/n's, which he wrote on my arm for some reason. My friend Brittany comes over and says that the friend that told me he had a girl friend was in the restroom and needed to talk to me. I was like... great. I'm going to get yelled at for dancing with a guy that has a girl friend. So, I go in.
We talk a little about something I had said and cleared that up, but then she tells me something that makes me feel like crap. She tells me she's the girl friend. I'm like.... "*WHOA* You could have told me, ya know?" And all this other stuff and so I get really pissed off at Brad for not telling me that he had a girl friend, but don't do anything. Although, I pretty much felt like crying the rest of the night and it was barely after the second slow song.
So, I'm back out dancing, everything ok with the friend and mad at Brad. Then I meet Chris. Now, Chris just happens to be one of Brad's good friends. So, great, but we get to talking and I find out he's a really cool guy, but he's a little sad. Because of this we get to talking about both of our problems and I ended up making him feel pretty much all the way better. I'm still on the verge of tears because of Brad though. So, I ask Chris to go tell him that I'm pissed off at him and he does... along with a little "slap".
Me and Brad don't talk the rest of the night, and me and Chris are hanging out. Then, after the dance, I'm like... I have to talk to Brad about it, and so I go up to him and he said something like "What was that for?" and I told him everything about the friend and him and her supposedly and all that stuff. I also told him how I felt like crying because of it. He says that he's single and that they had liked eachother, and how she likes him still, but he doesn't like her. So, one less problem I guess.
We make up, hug, and talk some about how to keep in contact . Then my dad shows up and I have to go. I said goodbye to my friend Justin and talk to Chris and give him a hug, then head out for the car.
(Brad if you read this, uh, I don't know... @_@)

March 23, 2004 :: DDR
Dance Dance Revolution: Max2 is a really fun game. It may be a video game, but you have to dance on the dance pads to play. So you get lots of exersise. It's fun to play at the arcade and have all the people stare at me.;) This is also one game my mom will let me play all the time. I might even get her to play soon. I got my little sister into it, she's 7, and now she's a little dance monster. Getting AA on songs. Great for her age. Just wait until she's 13+. Going to beat all those poor boys, like I do. Anyway... that's it for now... ttyl!

February 18, 2004 :: LCORT
LCORT is a 4-H activity. I know it was back at the end of January, but I've been to busy to blog about it yet. Anyway... Let me start at the beginning...
LCORT is for 4-Hers in 7-9th grades. LCORT stands for Leadership Conference of Regional Teens. When I first heard of it, I was in 6th grade, and normally couldn't go... but I got to. So this year would be my 3rd year. I'm in 8th grade currently. Well, LCORT was held up at Wonder Valley Ranch & Resort this year. Now let me tell ya... it's not run down piece of junk camp. It's got heaters in the room, hot showers, nice beds, great food, pools, and more! When they say "Wonder"... wow! They mean it.
We left to go up there on Friday, and only got lost a few times on the way. After we got there we had to sign in, so we did. We got all our groups sorted out, then went to our rooms. On Saturday we did all our meetings/session/groups. Then Saturday noght we had a danceand watched Pirates of the Carribean. It was so much fun! Sunday we all said our goodbyes and headed home.
(I'll add more details later...)

January 09, 2004 :: Top 10 Ways to Stay Up Late for 'Anime Unleashed'
Having trouble staying awake for TechTV's "Anime Unleashed"? You don't need a triple shot of espresso or fake pictures of a nude Beatrice Ratio to make it to 1 a.m. Eastern weeknights. Just follow our simple suggestions for staying up.
Use toothpicks to prop your eyelids open. Sure, the idea's borrowed from Western animation (mostly Daffy Duck), but using eyelid toothpicks can help you stay awake. (Warning: Don't use extra-long toothpicks, or you might develop enlarged "anime eyes syndrome.")
Learn Japanese. Use your wait time productively to learn the original language of anime. Prove yourself Otaku, and learn more about your favorite anime series.
Level-up your Final Fantasy XI character. Japanese players were online in early 2003, and now the new North American players are a full 70 levels behind. Mount that giant chicken and ride!
Compile a detailed list of differences between erotic film star Chasey Lain and Serial Experiment Lain Iwakura. Here's one entry to help you get started. In the Wired, Lain Iwakura wonders if she needs a real body. In Chasey Lain's movies, you wonder if her body is real.
Catch them all... if not Pokemons, then mechs. Then rearrange your collection drawer to make room for more. (Oh yes, there will be more. There always are.) For added "stay awake" powers, imagine it's Juan Valdez's Pokemon/mech drawer.
Instead of just waiting to see the late showing of Crest of the Stars, go outside, look up, and await the invasion of Humankind Empire Abh. Can you see the interplanetary trade routes forming?
Throw your cellphone like Ayane of Gate Keepers 21, and try to open some gates to fight the Invaders. If your cellphone merely breaks into pieces, buy a replacement and try again. And again. And again.
Feeling 'dead' tired? Visit the SoulTaker hospital for a thorough checkup. Let Komugi Nakahara poke you with hair-scalpels and hair-hypodermics. Relax to the supersonic wailings of Psycho Dr. Narugami. Their methods are a little unconventional, but if worse comes to worse, Maya Misaki can always exhume your grave.
Search your soul, look upon the stars in the heavens, and decide what may be the most important decision of your Otaku life. Namely, choosing a profession for your primary Ragnarok Online character.
Chat on our Anime boards. If you have questions about any Anime Unleashed series, the members of TechTV's Anime Unleashed Boards are knowledgeable, and happy to help answer your questions.

January 06, 2004 :: Basketball Team
Today at school was the day that I found out if I made the school team, or not. And well... I didn't. I'm not bummed out, and I didn't cry like other girls did. I didn't really want to play basketball, but I wanted to do it to keep in shape for track season. Now I can spend more time running for pratice, and less time trying to make hoops. ^_^. It all works out!

Today is the first day back to school from Chrismas Break. We're going to be getting a lot of work. Having a break from school was fun. I got to stay up late, sleep in, and there was also Christmas. In a way I don't wan't to go back, but in another way I do. I will be adding more to this later.

December 18, 2003 :: My Dream for America
As you get older you start school. You begin in elementary school and work your way up. Lately I've been noticing all these plans for "better education", but nothing is happening to make these plans work. Many kids don't get a good education, and many make a poor choice in dropping out after high school. There are also plans to stop this, but none really work. These are problems that the leaders of our nation need to expand on. The future of this great land we call home rests in the hands of the kids that play in your front yard and it is the current adults’ duty to make sure that those hands never weaken.
My Dream for America is to make some of these plans work. What good will the youth of tomorrow be, if they aren't properly educated? It's not enough that kids learn math and vocabulary words. They also need to learn how to learn, solve problems, and how to think creatively to be useful members of our knowledge-based economy. Are the schools of today teaching the youth how to learn, or how to memorize facts and pass standardized tests? It is better in the long run to develop a deep understanding of something than it is to memorize a fact, forget it, then have to memorize again.
Another thing is that we need to be spending less money on wars and things of that sort, and more on the youth's education. With all this money going to the wars, there is less and less money to spend on the youth. After school programs are being shut down, teachers are losing jobs, and many more disasters. Is this the proper way to give the children of our community an education? If you’re having trouble, the answer is no. That is no way to accomplish my dream.
There are some positive signs of progress. One sign is the introduction of technology into the school system. Students of all ages respond better today to computers and electronics, than pencil and paper. It is also important for teachers to learn how to use new technology. In order for the youth to learn new things they will need a guide. We can always look forward to a better tomorrow if the youth and the adults of this great nation can work together to make it greater.

December 10, 2003 :: Sick + Make Up Work =
A lot of stress. I have to make up 3 days of school work + whatever work I get tomorrow at school. They only give you a week to finish it all too. AH! TO MUCH WORK! Maybe I should just go to school, even if I am sick, from now on and make all the other people sick!? *Think Think Think* GOOD IDEA! HAHA!!! Make them all pay for all the work I have to do!!!...
If they're all sick, and no one come to school... there will be no school! *plots how to get everyone in school sick* J/K I'm not that mean. I'll only get the older kids sick. Wait... I'm not that mean either. I'll only get the 8th grade sick! That works... yeah! Ok... tomorrow... all sick!!!!
Ok, I'm weird... but I'm bored. There's nothing to do when all your friends are at school with out you.

December 03, 2003 :: My Personality
ENFJ -- Extraverted Feeling Aided By Intuition
Main Characteristics:
ENFJ's are outstanding leaders of groups, both task groups and growth groups. They have the charming characteristic of seeming to take for granted that they will be followed, never doubting that people will want to do what they suggest. And, more often than not, people do, because this type has unusual charisma. ENFJ's place a high value on cooperation from others and are most willing to cooperate themselves...
Found in only 5 percent of the general population, ENFJ's place people as being of highest importance and priority. As a result, ENFJ's may find themselves feeling responsible for the feelings of others to an extent which places a burden on the relationship. An ENFJ communicates caring, concern, and a willingness to become involved. Thus people turn to ENFJ's for nurture and support, which an ENFJ is usually able to deliver. At times, however, these kinds of demands can overwhelm ENFJ's, who find at this point that they lack the skills to dissociate. ENFJ's do not seem able to turn away from these demands even when they become unreasonable. Or, if forced to let go of the burden through sheer unavailability of time or energy, ENFJ's experience a guilt all out of proportion to the realities of the commitment made to the relationship.
ENFJ's are especially vulnerable to idealizing interpersonal relationships, raising these relationships to a plane which seldom can sustain the realities of human nature. Because of this tendency to raise interpersonal relations to the ideal, ENFJ's may unwittingly overpower their friends, who believe that they cannot possible live up to an ENFJ's perception of them. The fact is, ENFJ's are extraordinarily tolerant of others, seldom critical, and always trustworthy.
ENFJ's take communication for granted and believe that they are understood and that their communications are accepted. Just as they themselves are accepting, so do they assume that others are the same. When ENFJ's find that their position or beliefs were not comprehended or accepted, they are surprised, puzzled, and sometimes hurt. Fortunately, this does not happen with high frequency, as ENFJ's have a remarkable fluency with language, especially in speech; they are particularly adept when communicating face-to-face as opposed to communicating in writing. They are influential, therefore, in groups, having no hesitation about speaking out, no matter how large or small the group may be.
ENFJ's have an unusual ability to relate to others with empathy, taking into themselves the characteristics, emotions, and beliefs of others. This can pose a danger for ENFJ's because they can unconsciously over-identify with others and pick up their burdens as if they were their own. In the process, ENFJ's may risk their own sense of identity. They have a natural ability to mimic because of this highly developed ability to empathize by interjection. They are likely to be very concerned about the problems of those close to them, but they also may get as deeply involved in the problems of those not so close and may find themselves over-extended emotionally.
ENFJ's would do well to follow their hunches, for their intuition tends to be well developed. Decisions made purely on the basis of logic may not be so sound, and checking with a person who has a strong T preference might be at times advisable for the ENFJ. In the framework of values, however, the ENFJ is on a certain ground. Generally, they know what they prefer and can read other people with outstanding accuracy. Seldom is an ENFJ wrong about the motivations or intent of another, hidden or not.
Career:
This longing for the perfect carries over into the careers of ENFJ's, who experience some degree of restlessness whatever their jobs. And, as with ENFP's, ENFJ's have a wide range of occupations which offer success. Being verbally adept, ENFJ's contribute to an unusual level when dealing with people, particularly face-to-face; the media, the ministry, and the stage and screen are populated with successful ENFJ's. They make superior therapists, charismatic teachers, excellent executives, and personalized salespersons. Areas that would not permit utilization of the interactional talents of ENFJ's for example, accounting, should be avoided; otherwise, almost any people-to-people occupation where personal, sustained contact is involved capitalizes on the personality of an ENFJ.
ENFJ's like to have things settled and organized. They prefer to plan both work and social engagements ahead and tend to be absolutely reliable in honoring these commitments. ENFJ's are very much at home in complex situations which require the juggling of much data. At the same time, they can handle people with charm and concern. ENFJ's are usually popular wherever they are. Their ability to be comfortable either leading or following makes them easy to have around, whatever the situation. A well-developed ENFJ group leader can provide, almost endlessly, activities for groups to engage in with almost no preplanning and can find adequate roles for members of the group to play. In some, this can amount to genius which other types find hard to emulate. In this ability to organize without planning there is a certain similarity to an ESFJ, but the latter acts more as a master of ceremonies than as a leader of groups. The ESFJ is more of a recreational leader, who insures that each member has fun at a party and that the right things are expressed at social occasions, especially institutional social occasions such as a wedding. ESFJ's, value harmonious human relations above all else; but ENFJ's are not so easily crushed by indifference as are ESFJ's and are more independent of other's valuations.
Home:
ENFJ's are socially adept and make excellent companions and mates. They also are deeply devoted to their children, yet tend not to be domineering to either the children or mate. In fact, the ENFJ is so even-tempered that he or she can be victimized by a mate who might have become more and more demanding.
ENFJ mates always try to please and feel personally responsible when home life does not go smoothly. They are tireless in their efforts to see that it does, providing generously from available income, time, and energy. This dedication often exists, however, side by side with an ENFJ's dream of the perfect relationship - a characteristic of all NF's, but one which is particularly strong in an ENFJ. Thus an ENFJ has that longing for the ideal that results in a vague dissatisfaction with whatever is in the way of relationships, mating as well as friendships.
Midlife:
At midlife, ENFJ's might want to expand their capabilities toward introverted activities such as reading, gardening, painting. They also may want to increase their sensitivity to classical music, subtleties of fine foods and beverages, beginning to develop ever-increasing discriminations of fineness among fine things. Already likely to be a gourmet, an ENFJ might become a connoisseur art collector, for example, or an expert of medieval tapestries. Also, the development further of intellectual capabilities might interest ENFJ's at midlife, perhaps taking the direction of formal study. ENFJ's have the ability to appreciate both people and nature, and more time spent in travel might be gratifying, particularly if this was used as an opportunity to collect works of art.
Mates:
Who can complement this growth-catalyst? The opposite on the S side is ISTP, the "artisan." It is not difficult to see how the teacher inherent in the ENFJ would want to "bring out" the craftsman in the ISTP. The artisan, however, has another side to his nature that pops up occasionally and in some cases is a life theme: adventure and exploration. The ISTP can, so to speak, be wayward, take off for parts unknown. It is difficult to imagine a similar desire on the part of the ENFJ to bring out a sense of adventure.
The ENFJ, on the intuitive side, finds the INTP attractive. Nowhere is a splendid target for our catalyst, for beneath the cool, collected, detached, and doubting exterior lies an architect of buildings, machines, tools, operations, tactics, languages, mathematics, or whatever can be designed. If, that is, this latently capable designer can be "activated" or "brought out".
